FaithAnchored Speaks- A podcast for inspiring, praying, and sharing

FaithAnchored Ministries is excited to announce our debut of FaithAnchored Speaks Podcast. In today’s world, that is set at a fast pace, it was brought to my attention that some people may not be able to read the blog posts daily. However, if there was a podcast or recording of some kind it could easily be listened to while doing other activities. This is what sparked FaithAnchored Speaks.

Some of the podcast episodes will be reiteration of already published articles and/or subjects with added commentary, prayer, and/or thought provoking questions.

My goal is to eventually make the podcast a live event that will allow friends, family, and followers to comment and interact with me as I address each subject.

FaithAnchored Speaks is available on multiple platforms; including but not limited to; Spotify, Anchor.Fm, Google Podcasts, Pocket Casts, and Radio Public. You can find the links by clicking on FaithAnchored Speaks Podcast in the menu bar of this page.

I am beyond excited to be expanding and trying new ways to reach people all over the world. I would love if you all left feedback and would post any questions, subjects, or concerns on this matter.

God Bless

5 Reasons God Might Make Us Wait

Waiting helps us learn to trust in God alone and then builds on that trust. Waiting teaches us that God’s purpose, plan, and will– will ALWAYS prevail– if we put our trust in Him. God is a faithful and patient Father. The Bible tell us we are made in His image and we are slowly transforming to be more and more like Him.

Waiting builds up our patience, our obedience, our endurance and teaches us how to quiet our minds from worry and keep our focus on our faith in God. In a season of waiting, we learn more about God himself, thus helping us to grow into the person He was created and called us to be.

5 Reasons God Might Make Us Wait

  1. To reveal our true motives, to ourselves.
  2. To build patience in our lives.
  3. To build anticipation.
  4. To transform our character.
  5. To build our intimacy and dependency on God.

We all have season’s of waiting in our life. Some of these seasons may be short– others may be longer. One of my longest seasons of waiting, lasted about four years before I could finally see what God was doing.

The key to waiting is how we wait.

Just as with all decisions in life, there are two choices. You can wait in anger, bitterness, discouragement, and fear– or you can wait with eager anticipation for God to fulfill His promises.

Waiting can make us better or bitter. What will you choose?

The ability to wait on God, comes from knowing His promises and being confident in Him. Focusing on God– who He is– and what He is doing helps us to stay positive and grow through the waiting season.

We have to keep the balance between positive and negative while we are waiting. Know God’s character, His principles, His promises, and most importantly His power. Be confident in His wisdom, love, mercy, timing and will.

God promises to never leave us nor forsake us. He is on our side and will turn what the enemy meant to harm you into good.

When we wait, we have to learn to seek the Lord.

Ultimately, waiting is claiming God’s promises by faith and resting in what God is doing– even when we can not see it.

Prayer

Heavenly Father,

Thank you Lord for Your promises and for being a trustworthy Father. Lord, I am thankful that You are working on my behalf, even when I do not see it. God, I pray that You touch the life of each person who reads this message. Open their hearts and minds to Your Word, the truth in which will set them free from fear and worry.

Lord, I pray that You would surround each person with Your love and protection. Calm their spirits and give them clarity. Help them to remember Your promises and stand upon Your Word when the trials of life coming roaring in.

Lord, I pray You would renew their strength each day as they fight the fears that come with waiting. I pray that they would seek You and put their trust in You, over every situation in life.

Thank you Lord for the many blessings You give us each and every day. I declare in Jesus name that all worry bondage is broken today! I declare no weapon formed against you shall prosper. I declare God’s promises over Your life, in Jesus mighty name I pray.

Amen

Daily Devo- Just Be Held

With all the uncertainty in the world right now, I felt it would be a great time to talk about loneliness and inadequacy. God reminds His people that in their times of loneliness- they should not fear or worry.

Why? Because God is near to the broken hearted and He is with each of us every step of the way, ‘holding us up in His righteous right hand’.

Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you,

Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’

Isaiah 41:10 NKJV

Loneliness is something that everyone experiences at some time or another. However, extreme cases can lead to being fearful- causing us to take our eyes off of God. When we are going through periods of loneliness we must remember what God tells us in His word, ‘I will NEVER leave you, nor forsake you.’ (Hebrews 13:5 NKJV)

Those that are feeling lonely need to remember that God is our friend- our comforter, and our peace. We are never truly alone- Jesus is always with us. Loneliness, inadequacy, fear, and worry can all be helped through the Holy Spirit. (John 14:26 NKJV)

It is hard to keep our eyes focused on Jesus when we feel like He is not listening, but we must remember that there is a season for everything (Ecclesiastes 3:1-8) and God has our best interest at heart.

So when it seems like your world is falling apart- just allow God to hold you- you are not falling apart- you are falling into place. We need to release the control we are trying to keep over our life and our feelings and hand each over to God.

Allow God to just ‘hold you’ while you are struggling. Let Him do the work while you focus on trusting in Him and holding on to His promises.

Check out this Christian song- it has helped me a lot through times of struggle- when wondering ‘God where are you?!’

Prayer

Heavenly Father,

Thank you for always being near to us- for never leaving us nor forsaking us. Thank you for Your promises of helping us in our weakest moments. Lord I pray that each person who reads this would feel your love, comfort, and peace. Touch their hearts- open their eyes and ears- to see You. Lord, I pray that anyone who is feeling lonely and fearful that You would be near to them- lift them up Lord. I pray that any feelings of loneliness, fear, worry, or uncertainty be removed- Lord our trust and faith is in You. Protect us, help us, and lift each of us up in the mighty name of Jesus.

Amen

Daily Devo- Got to have faith

To have faith means more than just believing in something. Faith is defined in Hebrews as ‘the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen’. Faith usually starts out certain. When people believe that God will fulfill His promises to us- they are showing true faith. True faith believes even when you can not see any evidence, despite trusting in God and His character.

True faith is believing in God’s promises and that His works are always good for those who love Him.

Jesus said to him, “Thomas, because you have seen Me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”

John 20:29 NKJV

When people have faith in God, they know without a doubt that He will always keep His promises, He will always protect them, and He will never leave them.

Each day people of faith have to make choices in this world- usually doing so based on their unseen reality of their eternity in heaven.

People of faith preserver- despite pain, hardship, and persecution, because they know that God is with them through it all.

People claim to believe in God all the time- but do they really know who He is?

To know God intimately- faith is required. There must be a willingness to believe through the unseen that God exists and that His rewards are certain.

When having faith people discover how to unlock the power of having full trust in God and relying solely on Him. The power of salvation- through a personal relationship with Him.

Do you ‘believe in God’ or do you know God through a personal relationship with Him?

Prayer

Heavenly Father,

I want to thank you for this beautiful day and for Your message on faith. Lord, I confess sometimes it is easy to lose sight of my faith because of the burdensome and painful circumstances that can arise on any given day. Lord I pray that my faith would be increased, that we would keep our eyes on You and Your promises. Remind us Lord that seeing is not believing but believing is seeing. I pray each person would want to come to know You and learn about Your unfailing love and promises kept. I pray that You would increase thee faith of each person reading this in the mighty name of Jesus I pray.

Amen

Not Falling Apart-Falling into Place

During one of the most trying times in my life to date- I felt as if my world was falling apart. Each day came with a new surprise that would bring more pieces crumbling down around me.

It seemed as if no matter how hard I tried, I prayed, I cried, and begged God to help me- nothing ever changed. I literally felt as if I was losing my mind, my body, my family, and my life in general.

I studied the Bible, sought after God’s direction, and desperately wanted change. However, it seemed as if the more I fought to overcome- the more that seemed to be going “wrong”.
I held on to my faith knowing that God’s word tells us in John 16:33 that in this world we will have tribulation but to be of good cheer because He has overcome the world.

My problems were big but I knew my God was bigger. I couldn’t help but to feel hurt, forgotten, ignored, and many other emotions as things continued to not work out the way I wanted them to.

I was also aware that God’s plan is what will prevail but as many of us do, I seemed to have “forgotten” this little- yet VERY important piece.

A very dear friend of mine, a co-worker at the time, told me to listen to the song Just Be Held by Casting Crowns. It was an emotional day so I immediately took my break and listened to the song.

Oh my goodness! Oh my goodness! This song was PERFECT! I broke down in tears and balled like a baby. This was just what I needed to remind me of who is in control, the one I have in my corner fighting for me (even when we don’t see it or feel it).

If you haven’t heard the song you need to… “Your world is not falling apart-it’s falling into place! Just be held..”

God spoke to me through this song in such a powerful way. Reminding me that I am like an infant child to Him. He holds me, protects me, wipes my tears, and carries me through the storm. EVERY SINGLE TIME- NO MATTER WHAT! All I have to do is reach up my arms and ask Him to help me, hold me, protect me, and get me through this trying time.

God doesn’t want us to worry, stress, and feel overwhelmed by the things happening in the world today or in our personal lives. God only wants us to TRUST IN HIM and LOVE HIM with our whole heart, mind, and soul.(John 10:27)

Sometimes when life gets us down and we feel as if we are being kicked repeatedly by the enemy- we need to change our perspective. God works all things for the good to those who love Him (Romans 8:28)

So remember the next time it feels like your world is falling apart…ITS FALLING INTO PLACE. Find peace in knowing it’s in God’s time and He will ALWAYS carry you through if you ask Him.

3 Mental Barriers preventing a relationship with Christ

In times like we are in today, when the world is turned upside down, as fear and panic are being pumped through the media due to the Covid-19 Pandemic- the nation and its people need to be running to God, not from Him.

I find myself in an awe of disbelief when reading comments and posts from local news stations. The amount of people that are belittling, mocking, and/or denying God and His almighty power is shocking to say the least.

This is a time to stick together, to rise stronger than ever before, to call upon our Savior for help, and to spread the love and truth of Jesus Christ.

Easter was this past Sunday and I don’t find it coincidental that at a time like this we are all having to “carry our own cross.” God is faithful, trustworthy, powerful, and He is the only hope we have to rise above and be saved from our own sinful nature.

It’s hard for me to read comments from others that are bashing and mocking God and His power, when I myself have seen God at work first hand in my life. This brought me to the question of why.

Why are people fighting His love, His power, and His ever present help when we are all in need of something?

The world may be full of uncertainty right now, but one thing remains certain and that is God’s plan. God has already won the battle- He already knows how all of this will end.

So what is holding us back from the relationship with God?

These 3 mental barriers likely have a lot to do with the “why” in your life.

1. Pride
Thinking I got this, I can figure this out, I don’t need anyone’s help

2. Fear
Thinking about what others will think of you, fear you will turn into a “Jesus freak”, fear God will not want a relationship with someone like you

3. Bitterness
Holding on to hurt from the past, growing your heart hard from all of life’s disappointments, and closing your mind and heart off from allowing anything new or positive in

Can you relate to any of the above mental barriers?

I know that even as a devout Christian and follower of Jesus, when I find myself having a “dark season” full of problems and uncertainty, I can usually take a look at my inner being and recent interactions or lack of with God and pinpoint exactly which of the three barriers above has me blocked from overcoming and moving forward.

I’m encouraging you today to do a soul search on yourself.

Do any or all of the above mental barriers exist within you? Are you avoiding a relationship with God because of one or more of these barriers?

Maybe these barriers exist within other relationships as well, not just your relationship with God.

It’s time to break the barriers!

Seek God’s word and His guidance- read the Bible, starting in the areas that you struggle with most and Pray, Pray, Pray!

God can and will redeem and restore you. It takes time and fervent prayer but God is faithful- He is a promise keeper!

Prayer

Heavenly Father,

Thank you Lord for all You do and all You are. Thank you for this message and for Your promises. Lord, I am a sinner and I need Your help, I can’t do this on my own. Lord save me from my sinful nature and wrap my in Your arms. I struggle with mental barriers of pride, fear, and bitterness. Lord, renew my mind, remove the fear, pride, and bitterness. God, show me if there are barriers I am not recognizing. Lead me and guide my paths. God, I need You, I want to run to You first, I want to feel Your love surround me. Lord, deliver me from the enemy and protect my mind, body, and soul. I pray for good health, restoration, and protection over myself, my family, and every nation effected by this pandemic. God we know you have the whole world in your hands and do not wish for any to perish but all to have everlasting life. I pray all the glory be given to You and Your kingdom in Jesus mighty name I pray.

Amen
