Starting with Bible basics and spiritual life basics, is necessary to ensure you correctly understand, translate, and apply what God is telling you through-out the Bible.
The core of Christian faith is belief in one God who revealed Himself in person (in the flesh) and through-out the Bible. The Bible has three major movements:
- Creation- the first two chapters of Genesis explains the creation of all things and tells us that God pronounces is all “good”. Genesis 1-2
- Fall of Mankind- Caused by rebellion from Adam and Eve, when they were deceived, and disobeyed God’s command to not eat from the forbidden tree of knowledge. Genesis 3:1-7
- Redemption- includes all events after the disobedience of Adam and Eve through the end times. Genesis 3:8- Revelation 22
In the final movement God reveals His plan through-out the Bible– A plan to redeem humanity. Beginning with His promise to raise up one (Genesis 3:15) who would defeat sin and bless all the nations. (Genesis 12)
Through the life and sacrificial death of Jesus– it made it possible for all to be restored to a healthy relationship with Him. Jesus is our bridge from our sinful nature and God; He fills the gap and we go to the Father, God– through Him.
Thank you Lord for this message and thank You for sending Your son to be the bridge between You and I. I pray You continue to show Yourself to me; through readings and a personal relationship with Jesus. Lord, I know I am not perfect and I fall short of Your glory daily, but God I pray You will forgive me and redeem me in Jesus mighty name I pray.
